Lauren Bacall Exhibition Poster

  • So as a project and dedication to the late Lauren Bacall. We came up with this poster. Originally we were told the FIT museum would feature an exhibit to the star's fashion iconic style. Lauren had been famous for her sultry star and beautiful lips, her elegant pearls and of course a woman's cigarette holder which reflected the culture of the times. Our biggest challenge was to get a younger audience who might not know Lauren Bacall to come. The average age of our target audience was 20s. So born sometime in the 90s we compared her to Regina George. For you who do not know who that it, its the stereotypical mean yet pretty and popular high school girl. We felt it was a good combination. The poster shares styling from both. The Typography and pink background symbolizes the burn book of the movie, while the illustration is about Lauren.
